If you ever desire to do this, I would seriously think it over. 2 weeks ago the neighbor kid and his friends decided to swap cams in his 99 GT. Thursday came around and a call from his dad asking if I can help. They thought they could do this with the heads on the engine, sorry there just isn't the room. The kid's friend had everything screwed up, engine out of time, dropped a valve lock down the oil return to the pan, you name it. The project was a total friggin nightmare, the warped long tube headers and the warped heads that needed milled didn't help either. I got it finished but just a warning to others, plan on tearing your 4.6L down to a short block and killing a long weekend.
