im at school and we're starting personal projects in welding and i need plans for a good looking bumper for the 3rd gen ranger 2wd with winch mounts

I asked the same thing, if you ever draw up some plans from that would you mind emailing me them. I can do basic welding but I'm not sure of what the dimensions should be for anything.

its a fab shop.. why not come up with your own! its always an adventure building your own stuff! most part HAVE FUN doing it! just use the pictures as a reference.

I agree with others, it is not hard to come up with your own.

Just whip out a tape measure and go to town writing down measurements. (inside or outside frame width, how far out you want to to be, how long you want it to be, etc.) Then if you REALLY need writen plans, draw some up based on what type of bumper you want, and using your measurements.

I highly doubt many people at all actually write down their plans. Most people just keep their plans in their head.

+1, I mainly don't write down my plans because I'm a terrible drafter. But yeah, I keep all my plans up in my domepiece. My plans always change anyways.

its an assignment i will get a grade on the measurements, bill of materials, the design on autocad, etc. sooo i guess ill just draft up my own, damnit

Isn't that the whole point of an assignment?!?! Using someone else's plans is plagarism. :icon_confused:

:agree: plus there's no better feeling then pointing at something and saying i designed and built that
