i have an 84 ranger with a 2.3 and a tk4 trans. it has 75.000 miles. i have no cat, most emissions crap has been plug, and no pcv valve. is there anything i should do to get a little more power out of it. it runs good. my carb loosens up every 200 miles and causes it to run crappy but thats the least of my worries. i am replacing the exhaust soon. any help is great thanks.

all depends on how much money and mechanical skills you have. or just money :D

mechancal sklls are plenty. i do all m own work

port and polish the head, new cam, exhaust, advanced timing, if you really want more power turbo. all depends on how much money you have

+1 turbo is really the only way to go if you really want some power out of it.

You can visit esslinger engineering and buy parts there, but be prepared to spend alot of $$$ because there parts are very expensive.
+2 on the turbo swap for fun power.

+3 on turbo. i know from experience that turbo 2.3l make ALOT more power than n/a. expincive but fast power.
