That is pretty sweet. Looking back I'm truly amazed at how fast a whole bunch of people working towards a common goal can get a task accomplished. Legal battles like this have been fought out for months and this issue was resolved in 22 hours.
 
Cool article; thanks for posting it. Kind of neat to see a followup, especially with some perspective of what was going on within Ford.

That incident was really bad when it was going down, but the quickness and sensibility of how it was handled greatly restored my confidence with Ford. I hope that they see better days ahead.
 
they sent Jim a letter saying he couldnt use the name ranger station?
 
Not exactly. They threatened to make him pay 5,000 dollars and surrender therangerstation.com URL. It turned out only to be a threat. What Ford was up in arms about it turned out was the sale of stickers at the TRS Fab and Off-Road store that used the Ford logo. It turned out to be a copyright law violation I think, hence the threat. The issue ended peacefully, no fines or surrendering of the URL in exchange for TRS not selling the stickers anymore.
