Has anyone ever seen a slave cylinder that has a washer between the slave and the throw out? my problem is that I just recently replaced the ENTIRE clutch system, Master/Slave cylinders, whole clutch, everything. I bled the crap out of it and my pedal still has to be pert near on the floor before the clutch will disengage, I was thinking myabe a washer between the slave and throw out bearing would give my pedal a better feel because it would be making the clutch disengage sooner, I have a '97 2.3 2WD. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

are you sure you put the clutch disk in facing the right way?

you probably still have air in the lines. its nearly impossible to fully bleed the master cylinder with it bolted to the firewall. i recomend unbolting it, flipping it upside down (line pointed up) and bleed it that way.

Probably needs more bleeding. Mine still had some air and released near the bottom. I drove it and the release point slowly came up over about a week,s time.
