What do I need to be able to convert my T5 from a turbo coupe to 4x4. I know an S10 tranny has the shifter in the right location and transfercase flange, but will a 1350/1354 bolt up ok?

Any information would be appreciated.

Ford never had the T-5 in a 4x4. There was five years ago an adapter for the T-5 to V-8 but no longer available. Jeeps and the S-10 had them but there are no adapters made for them to fit your motor. Think you're just snag a manual from a Ranger.

I realize ford never made a t5 4x4 transmission. I was thinking why couldn't a person get a s10 t5 and throw the output shaft, tail housing onto a ford T5 and then run the s10 transfer case or what other cases would fit the T5 flange for the transfer.

Am I missing something obvious???

I mean I don't mind the driveshaft modifications or the cross member issues. I have everything on hand to deal with that...

Thanks.
