I have a 89 ford ranger with a mitsu tranny, If the slave cylinder wiggles does that mean its loose and air is getting in? Do I just tighten it or how do i stop it from being lose? Or is that just how it sits, It can wiggle, but I didnt notice any fluid coming out.

I don't think its supposed to wiggle. It should have a couple of bolts holding it snug up to the tranny. That may be, or be part of your problem. See if there are bolts to tighten up, or if they are missing. :fie:

Nevermind they are supposed to be loose on the FM's.

No on the FM146 and FM132 the slave is bolted to the front bearing retainer, like in the Mazda.
On the FM145 it simply "floats" between the trans and the bellhousing, "Captive" between them.
Now, what is it that "wiggles"?
just the dry break fitting?
Or is the whole cylinder obviously moving?
It IS supposed to be BOLTED in place
and it is also a kind-of snug fit on the bearing retainer.
