My credo
A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
Apparently some Russian-Bulgarian ex-KGB types have launched a massive DoS attack against Google.com... I just made that up, but I get NOTHING for Google all day, and don't know if it's the whole planet, or just my local branch of my ISP (AT&T)...????:icon_twisted::icon_confused:

Works good here too.

A router on one of your hops to Google probably has an out-of-date DNS table.

Google experiences many thousands of DoS attacks each day, but I doubt they will EVER be brought down by one. They literally disect each TCP/IP packet that goes into any of their server farms. If that packet is invalid or deemed malicious, it gets logged and tossed. The algorithms used to detect malicious packets are highly advanced and highly secretive.

Other Google anti-DoS measures include IP tarpits (very cool), "hot swappable" IP banks, and a shitload of bandwidth over multiple backbones. These few measures make even a well-planned distributed DoS attack next to impossible.

Of course, there are other methods of hacking than DoS. :D

Then why does it come up as Gargoyle in my browser?

J/K...no, it's fine even in fridgid Canada

I think Evan nailed it... AT&T is slacking... per usual.

Google finally back... but Yahoo and AltaVista are still around... who knew? LOL...
