Hey everybody, i'm new to the ranger station forums so please save the flaming.
I've got a trans/tcase out of a 87 ranger 4wd 2.9 which I imagine is a FM145. I have a 98 ranger v6 4wd excab. Just lost reverse. Curious as to if swaping the FM145 in would require any type of adapters and if it would be an upgrade of any sort. I do like the older tcase with the manual shift lever. Don't trust the electronic solonoid in there now.
I'll be searching for a while but any input would be greatly appriciated.
