Need 2.9l to 4.0l swap information!

Looking to do an upgrade. Does any one know if an early 4.0 has a gear on the cam to drive a 2.9l distributor. I Don't want to change the harness if I don't have to!
 
The 4.0 cam does not have the gear to drive a distributor.
