I have a stock 2002 4.0L 4x4 supercab with a 8.8 in the rear, I want to put a Lockrite in but, herd you cant if its limted-slip. Am new to all this and need a little help. there was a post a little while ago and a guy was putting one in and found out he had a limted slip diff. but if its open its ok.

Please help

Powertrax (maker of lock-rites) sells a similar unit for L/S diffs. Either check the tag on your axle or the sticker on the door to find out what you have. If you need to, post it here and one of us can tell you.

Correct. Powertrax. Be sure to get one for L/S applications.

Should be a L in between the gear ratio, such as (ex. 3L73) if it's LS. If it's open it'll just be (ex. 3 73).
