98 ranger with

hi i have a 98 ranger stepside that had a 2.4 and automatic. i have a cobra jet 351c 4v motor with 850 cfm carb that i want to install in it with a aod transmission. the truck has rack and pinion steering. my questions are is this a good transmission for the swap, what motor mounts should it use or should i use a aluminum front plate for a engine mount and one for a trans support.. also headers i want to use 2" or larger tubing. does anyone make a kit for this truck header. the truck has air conditioning that i know i can't use but would like a heater in it. i plan on moving the rear springs inboard on the rear axle but don't know if the rear end gears will hold up to the 351c that i might stroke to 427. if i have to change the rear end whats my best choice. i don"t know about the wiring harness what i keep and what goes. theres a power box under the hood with fuses etc and one on the drivers side dash with fuses. thanks for any help you guru's can supply.. i want to be street legal and still burn the track up.. thanks again jim king mezking@yahoo.com
