Today I broke the actual mirror in the mirror assembly on the passenger door of my 2007 F-150.
The housing isn't damaged at all and the mirror still moves by the power remote, but the glass part is shattered. I've never had to fix a broken mirror on a newer vehicle like this. Can the glass be replaced or do I need a whole new housing? How does it come off? I really can't afford to replace it but I don't want to drive around with a broken mirror. It's power, so if I have to replace the whole thing it will probably be costly. I have to take a trip with my trailer this month and it's going to drive me nuts looking through a broken mirror. I can't just take a panel off from the inside of the door to get to the mirror bolts. The whole door panel would have to come off.
