Has anyone used or installed projector headlights on their truck? I found these for my '99 and I'm curious if they'd be just a straight bolt-on or if I'd have to do some extra wiring to get the "halo" part of the light to work.

And if I bought these, would it be wise to buy a better, brighter headlight bulb? Or would my factory ones look fine?

The fitment should be a direct bolt in. But you are right with the halo... On the projectors i bought for my other car, there was a red and a white wire that I had to hook up for the Halos. I never did cause i didnt really matter to me. And your stock lights should be fine, but id recommend upgrading to silverstar ultras... they look really good.

That's what I was afraid of and I'm glad I asked beforehand. Saved me a lot of trouble. I'm probably going to upgrade my bulbs anyways.
