ok, when it comes to brakes idk alot, if anything...i stick to basic tune ups and fixes on my truck

anyways, i have 99 2wd 3.0, im assuming i have a 9 inch drum, how hard would it be to get 10inch drums? would i need new wheels?

also, would it be smart/easy to get drilled and slotted rotors up front? any noticeable difference? if so where can i get some online?

i know i got brakes replacement coming up in the near future

i would check to see if you have 10" drums already. 9" drums have become increasingly less popular on newer trucks.

but installing 10" drums in place of 9" drums should be fairly simple. its just a matter of unbolting the backing plate from a 10" axle and bolting it onto yours. i would also replace your master ctlinder with one from a 10" truck to avoid any possible proportioning problems. you wont have to change wheels.

i wouldnt bother with drilled or slotted rotors in the front. ive seen to many aftermarket rotors cause problems even when not weakened by drilling or slotting.
