i have an 89 ranger with a 2.9. i replaced the cap and rotor and not my rpm gage is not working right it bounces around and somtime stays at 6 grand i have takein the cap off and did not see any ting wrong im lost on what it could be. the tach worked fine befor i changed the cap and rotor so i think it has some ting to do with that or the distributor any ideas.
