ive heard that rear bumpers were optional for some time on the rangers (i thought they were standard by the time the ranger came out
)...if that were the case then you could legally take it off. but front bumpers have been manditory for decades.

really? i think even removing the little plastic velance gives gen 3's an "overbite" look...removing the whole bumper would be even worse. not to mention being able to see the frame horns and radiator....wouldnt look that good IMO.
i think there are a few companies that make aftermarket bumpers that fit our trucks, you might look around some. maybe find something with a winch mount

Did you see my cardomain pics? I like the look of the stock front bumper, but mine is beat all to hell (from someone running a light and hitting me.) After I get back from basic though I'm hoping to find someone around here to build me bumpers!
all i know is that i ran around for 3 months with no front bumper and my front license plate zip tied to my grille and i never got stopped for it

i just did. it looks pretty rough. why not hit the junkyard? ill bet you cn get a stocker for under $60.
