Ok going to replace the ball joints on my 99 ranger 4x4 today. Already recieved some info on doing it but i have a few more questions i need answered before i get started. I already have the eccentrics from a previous alighnment i had done a few years ago. So i was wondering if i can reuse them on the new control arms, and if so should i try to get them back in the same position or does it not matter because they're going in a new arm.
Also will the alighnment be close enough to drive for a few days until i can get it in for a alighnment on monday. Thanks for the help.

I assume you have cam bolts? Then yes, reinstall them close to the same position that they were previously set at. Its ok to drive a couple days, but your handling and tire wear will suffer.

+1

If anything your camber will be slightly off, so you'll need to set the alignment again. It's not a hard alignment to do, 98+ Rangers are actually quite easy to align in my experience, especially when the eccentric cams are already installed.

thanks for the replies, got it all done. taking it in tomorrow for the alighnment.
