91 ranger v8 swap questions about c6

i am wondering what i might have to do to fit this in the tunnel will i have to do a body lift? or just bend that firewall floorboard trim piece back and it will fit i dont know help me out. also i would like to know i thinking about getting headers for a 72 galaxie they both hugg the block and go str8 down i want to know is that gonna be a problem because ive been looking at others pictures and the driver side header turns out toward the back and the pass goes str8 down or give me a application of what vehicle headers fit easier im new to ranger station thanks for letting post. matt

I'm doing the same swap your planning on doing and I'm putting a 3" body lift just to make it as easy as possible. I'm sure it will fit with some cutting and a BFH and no body lift but I'm taking the easy route. For headers you'd probably be best getting headers made for the swap or using stock manifolds but there might be some that would fit. none that I could find though.

On my 90 ranger i'm using a 351W/C-6 combo with no problems. Mine is 2WD though.

v-8power so you did your swap with 351w/c6 with no body lift just a bfh and some cutting or what LOL>?

I bent the tranny tunnel lip back and on the drivers side i beat on it a little.

The C-6 will fit without a body lift, just as long as you install the motor and trans together. If you have to pull or install the trans by itself, you'll run into problems accesssing the bellhosuing bolts.
