Spindle nut kit for Warn hubs?

I was pricing out some Warn hubs for my 89 ranger, the guy helping me told me I'd need a spindle nut kit. I have manual hubs, I understand you only need the kit for auto. ones. Can somebody tell me which is right?

If you already have manual hubs on it, you won't need the kit. Only if you are swapping from the auto hubs.

just put a set of warn hubs in last week! they are very nice and won't break and it didn't even take me half the time that people were telling me it would take even when putting new wheel bearings in also!
