i would like to put a 2.3t in my ranger right now at the pick n pull there is a turnderbird TC but the motor is gone but the trans is still there ( i heard this was the best trans) i will prolly use the motor from a Murker XR4Ti because they are more common here then the SVO and TC but what wire harness and ECU should i use i am no stranger to wiring so it doesnt really scare me as long as i have a pin out and flow chart ( i have wired my 91 GTI for Megasquirt) also should i change the rear end? i dont want first to top out at 15 MPH like it currently does with the V6 lol

a little about my truck it was a diesel PO swapped over to a carbed V6 so i have no idea what kinda ghetto ass wiring is done to it right now

this is what im trying to do with my truck too, i have a 85' carbed and putting in a 2.3 efi motor. sounds like we have to have all new high pressure fuel lines, we need to get a efp fuel tank out of a later ranger or mustang, fuel pressure regulator, of course turn are "hardly any wires" truck over to a efi harness ( shouldnt be too hard if you get a harness,). the trouble im having is finding a harness that know ones hacked up at the junkyard trying to pull parts. you'll have to find a parts car or a private owner parting his car out. well good luck to you, ive did the research and now no quite a bit what were in for, so let me no if i can help.

i have 5 or 6 junk yards within 15 min of me that have a large selection of domestics i think i will be able to find just about all i need i havent looked at my fuel tank but why cant i just run an inline fuel pump? i imagine it beeing a carbed motor it has a gravity feed fuel tank? kinda like the porsche 944?
