Howdy, y'all.
Back in an RBV for the first time since '93. First RBV was an old '84 Ranger that I bought for $1200 with 90k+ on it. 2.? carbed, 5-speed. Loved that little truck. Silver/blue with the crappy paint that came off in sheets at the car wash. Stripped it down to metal, put 3 coats of grey primer on it and drove it another couple years before I was badgered into giving it to my ungrateful idiot of a youngest brother (with a warning: drive like you have sense and it'll last a long time. Drive like you normally do and it won't last 6 months). He killed it in 4 months time. And then told me I GAVE him a junk truck...
This one's a '99 B2500 that I'm buying from a buddy. Grey metallic (anybody know the name of the color?) with a 5 speed, and a 6-foot bed. 180k on the clock and looks like a million bucks. Can't wait to get into it and make it 'mine'.
Also have a '92 F-150 that I bought from my mom after dad passed on in '04. 302/E4OD trans, a whopping 12 MPG. Be nice to see decent mileage out of the B25.
For fun, I drive a '98 JettaGLX that's built for the road course.
Looking forward to meeting some folks here and learning about this generation RBV.
