when i got into my 94 4.o manual trans today and started it it jumped foward(it was in 1st gear with the clutch pedal depressed} i shut it off and check the fluid it was a little low but not entirely empty got back in to find that the pedal is going all the way to the floor with no resistance at even when pumped so is it the slave or the master is there a way to know for sure?
thanks in advance

locate the missing fluid. is it leaking out the master or slave?

theres a plug in the bellhousing that can be removed to inspect the slave.

i tried, it didnt help.

a lot of the times, the master cylinder cannot be properly bled with the cylinder bolted to the firewall. the way its positioned traps and air bubble inside the cylinder, behind the piston. you should unbolt the master cylinder and turn it upside down (line up) to bleed it.

im assuming QD is the quick disconnect. if the master cylinder is the problem, you dont need to mess with the quick disconnect. you can remove the line directly from the master cylinder by driving the tiny roll pin out of the master cylinder and pulling the line straight out.
