Hmm, an Oregon truck registered in Washington....something tells me this thing ain't gonna pass no emissions test.

No way in HELL that thing is worth $1000 if it doesn't even run.

If it's the "easiest swap in the world to do," why isn't it done?

Oh come on, you just have to finish the wiring :icon_twisted:

easy is a relative term. your still putting an engine that wasnt intended to be there in the truck. theres a lot of wiring to do, and wiring sucks...i can see how a guy could get overwhelmed:

you'd easily pay $1,000 for a running donor turbocoupe...and he already has the engine in the truck. if a 2.3 turbo ranger is what you ultimately want, id say its a good deal :dunno:

The wiring in that one should be a lot easier than my '84.

the trick on the wiring is to use the trucks engine wiring and splice in the sensors that didn't exist before, in the '87 it would have been a fair amount easier than it was in my '90, and I only had to add like 5 wires to my wiring harness and splice about 5 other wires... but I do have some running issues at the moment...

I was looking at that ranger today actually... its down to $600 now I believe
