And I found the vids of mattracks. What are your opinion. Not necessarily of te product on rangers but the product in general. Good Idea/Bad Idea? Explain.

i think theyre pretty cool, i want to get a 4 wheeler and get some for the winter. look at it this way, you throw some on the ranger, instant snocat :headbang:

but im pretty sure theyre expensive as hell

Didn't Trucks' do a build on an F150 or 250 with those (or similar product) about 35 years ago when Stacy David was still on the show? If I remember correctly, it was when Ford released a new body design and he built it for Ford before the truck was released to the public. After it was finished, they (Ford) had it crushed because they didn't want the liability associated with selling or owning it.

sorry to quote. But I believe it was an F250 or F350. I do remember that episode. I didnt know about the truck being destroyed. Why didnt they just take the tracks off?

Onto your question. I think they are super cool. And if I lived in the mountains where it got a rediclous amount of snow and an endless wallet. You bet I would have a pair! :icon_cheers:

I think they're bitchin and I'd love to have a truck equipped with them if we got more snow around here. I would probably put them on a fullsize Bronco (80-86 of course!)

My local power company has a Suburban with tracks on it...when I saw it I really wanted to work there just so I could drive it.

Matt tracks would be awsome!!

At my family's cabin, you cannot drive wheeled vehicles on the roads once the snow starts to build up, so most people use Snowmobiles. But, there are some people that use tracks/ MattTracks on their cars. I think there is a Isuzu Rocky, Suzuki XL7, an 80's Ram Charger, and I don't know of any others off the top of my head, but there are also quite a few people who have them on side-by-sides over there too.
If you have the money, they are SUUUPPER expensive. My dad knows one of the guys with them (XL-7) and he said the adapters to put them on the vehicle is a huge chunk of the cost. I think he said it was 6 or 7 grand for a set of them (tracks, adapters, and all), installed on the car. Like I said, if you have the money, it isn't super bad...

i think theyre around $3000 just for quads.......thats how much bought my truck for.
