haha well shit i wudnt run a fart can lol.. but yea it already sounds ricy cause it is ha but wud straight pipe further the rice?? anyone got some teriyaki chicken??
Dude my buddy had straight pipe dumped right out the side infront of the rear wheel and it sounded horrible. He now is running a cheap turbo and it sounds pretty good. Loud but nice.
You wont like a strait-piped 2.3 It will screach and scream loud and annoying, I know, I had my muffler fall off once, no cat, no muffler= No happiness. It sounded like crap, and you couldnt hardly touch the gas pedal without bringing tears of pain to your eyes because of the interior noise.
i know they sound like shit wen ppl jus cut the muffler off and call it good.. but how wud it sound with both cats in place, no muffler but a full length of 2.25" pipe all the way out behind the rear tire.. im thinkin the long smaller diameter pipe wud clean up the raspy popy sound? haha all i kno is my buddy straight piped his 96 m3 bmw and iv had a boner ever since the first time i herd it
well other than all the chinky chinky. lol i have turbo on my truck and downpipe to stock cat Y-pipe off cat to straight duals no muff from there and it sounds awsome.
I'm running a Dynomax race bullet on my '06 2.3, which is about as close as you can get to a straight-pipe. There is only about a 1-2 db difference between the two. It is very loud (especially going up a hill or any time there is a load on the engine) and ricey as all hell. It's funny, I get the strangest looks from people in traffic. It is getting kind of annoying having all the hondas trying to race me now, though.
Really not happy with my magnaflow either. Just got it last week. Sounds great at Idle
(600RPM) but any higher=RICE. I'm thinking that I might go back and just get a flow 40 like everybody else that has a vehicle, and maybe a resonator. And I still need to figure out how to tighten my header flange so when I hit the gas it doesnt sound like a rasp against the end of a metal tube.
