i have an 85 bronco II 4x4 its carburated and has a/c is it a 2.8 or a 2.9

'85 would definitely be a 2.8.
A 2.9 has a very large upper intake manifold that says something like "2.9 LITER EFI" on the top of it. There's also the differences in the exhaust manifolds, but I don't need to explain them.
