Had the driver side beam out to put 4.56 gears in and now that it's all bolted back up the axle shaft is crooked. It slides into the carrier but when you put the spindle on its sitting crooked, as in its resting on the inner lip of the spindle. It rotates fine but I can't get the lock ring in there, it won't tighten down enough.

Anyone have any ideas?

lock ring for the shaft? after the spindle is bolted on try pulling on the shaft a little or take a screwdriver behind it in the u joint an pull towards yourself.. this should allow it to have enough slack to put the clip on if thats what your talking about.

trying that now actually, i'll let you know how it works. except I'm leaving it out a little bit then I'll just push it back in.
