HELP cant get my truck out of 4 LOW???????????

Hey all...

My trucks stuck in 4 low, its a 07 ford ranger Fx4 Level 2.... It has a switch on the fly switch thing and it wont switch out of 4 low now :sad:

its a auto trans... I AM SO LOST WHERE DO I START???

I HAVE NO CLUE where to start with it, i checked the fus and its not blown?? could it be frozen??????

ok

first things first drop it in neautral, push the brake pedal to the floor and switch it to hi or 2wd. it might be the sensor in the brake that wont let it shift til the truck is standing still. if that dont work crawl under the truck and pill the shift motor off. its the coke can sized thing on the back of the transfer case. twist the knob inside in the direction indicated on the transfer case that will get you out of low til you can get it checked out

I also have shift on the fly in my 1996 BUT that ONLY applies to 4x4 HI, the ONLY way to get into OR out of 4x4 low is to STOP the truck, put it in neutral and turn the nob to 4x4 low, PERIOD!!

You can not be driving down the road and shift on the fly into 4x4 low, if you try NOTHING will happen ,PERIOD!!

Neutral in, neutral out

If you read the manual it will CLEARLY state how to get into and out of ( 4x4 low ) :icon_cheers:

If this doesn't work something else is wrong.

Either there is a second copy of this thead, or something wierd happened... I could have SWORN I posted a reply to this thread early today (3 or 4 hours ago).

But anyway, I basicly said exactly what the other guys said.

EDIT: Nevermind, it was just another topic about the same thing, and I had a brainfart...
