Hey i got some Christmas money and since i am going to be adding 2 10 inch subs behind my seats while i have some extra money and already have my interior torn apart I was thinking about some Sound Deadener to stop at least some of the rattles. I was looking up dynamat but that stuff is so expensive so i was trying to find some cheap on ebay and came across this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...osed_view_item&refitem=280296118704&viewitem=

I was reading that 50 sq feet would be plenty to do my reg cab ranger.

Hope to here from you soon.

thanks Rusty

anybody somebody must know. I am installing 2 10's tom and depending how they rattle i might be installing this stuff.

Any sound deadener you add to the cab will help plain and simple, holds heat better, cold better, and helps keep the cab quite. With that said that will help a lot more then nothing.

thanks. I am hooking up my subs tom and depending on how they rattle ill be getting this stuff. Thanks for answering my ?.

Rusty

what about some spray foam for the voids?

I've used a product called "Brown Bread" when i used to install at a local place its half the price of dynamat and i also have used the eastwood.com house brand sound deadener with good results in the past. dynamat is definitly overpriced

why dont you just get some rubberized undercoating for the cheapest of them all, it works pretty good, lasts a long time, is ecomical and is pretty much self explanitory. thats the rout that ima take when i do the inside of my ranger. well one can will do 10 square feet, so you'll need about 5-6 cans and it is anywhere from 7-10/can. oh and its paintable. you can pick it up at like miejer, or autozone.

jay jigless i have already done my floor and the back wall of my cab with undercoating. That does ok but my interior still rattles so thats why i was thinking about sound deadner.

Anybody??? It wont happen till spring. Does anybody have any pics of what they did in there rangers??

thanks Rusty

it doesnt stop the sound really just stops the material its on from viberating. so you subs cant shake the tub and make everything attached to it rattle if your installing the sub just put some down were they sit and see how much that helps

I just bought 100 sq feet on ebay of FatMat Extreme:

Ebay Auction here...

I'm not using it for musical reasons -- just that the cab is so loud on the freeway and I do business on the road. It's so hard to hear the spearkphone (until I get speakers and bluetooth speakerphone, probably not any time soon).

I'll let you know how it goes...
