On occasion the radio and clock have to be reset as if the battery cable had been disconnected. Any ideas about the problem and a cure. Thanks

Fixed the problem. I cleaned all the grounds Battery, starter, body grounds etc. no more problems since.Maybe this will help someone else.

Well cleaning grounds could certianly help alot! In the future, if you ever have a weird electrical problem like this, check the battery cables for cracks and tears. i had my radio randomly shut off all the time and it turned out to be my positive battery cable was cracked and making contact with my frame. Glad you found out what it was!

My problem was when starting the engine the radio and clock zeroed out.I checked my battery cables they are okay didn't see any cracks and they don't touch the body. Thanks for your reply.
