super vs reg gas

so i went to fill up the other day....they did not have reg so they were giving super away at $1.67..thought cool...truck had no gitty up at all....put reg gas in and now she has the spunk of a v6...any ideas?
 
lower octane fuel burns quicker. Higher the octance4 the slower burning the fuels to prevent detonation
