need help

i have a 96 ranger and i am puttin a new cd player in it and well i have all the wires hooked up and i have sound from the subs but i have no sound from the speakers and and there is power to the cd player just no sound from speakers.

Are the speakers hooked up to a seperate amp or are they powered by the head unit?

if the speakers are head unit powered i had the same problem. im not sure if it was the harness i bought or what but i bought a 4 ch amp and components for the front, not a cost effective fix lol.

You could run your own speaker wire from the head unit to the speakers, or double check wiring colors at speakers and tap into factory harness but that should be a last resort
