DA Sander

I have a air power 6" DA sander that I bought from Harbour Freight for auto body work. Can I use this kind of sander to refinish cabinet doors?

My late dad and I refinished an entire kitchen-worth of cabinets with nothing more than a DA sander and a little hand sanding. Turned out great.

Its all about learning how to handle the tool and pick the right paper for the application.

What paper would you suggest. The cabinets were finished in the 80's and they are stained wood.

You can use a DA, to get the best finish you always wanna sand with the grain tho....

Sand paper - medium (100 or so) is usually used for the first sanding, fine (220 or so) for smoother results and very fine (300 or so) for smoothing finishes between coats(laquer)
