Has anyone Permanently Locked Your '98-'00 Vacuum Operated Hubs. I was concidering doing this because i dont have the funds to get manual locking hubs yet. I was wondering if anyone had any problems or troubles with doin this. I drive about 300 miles to get to my school 1 way and i dont know if that would be a problem.

yeh if you use the search button you can find a lot of information on this subject.

Also AVM makes a kit to convert them to manual lock/unlock hubs which is a better alternative.

And if you read his post you would see where he said he didnt have the funds for the AVM's.

I messed around with permanantly locking them like your talking about. My hub was broke in half so it didnt work for me, but after figuring out just what removing that metal tab did, It makes sense and I cant see how it would cause any issue.
