Hello, I have a 1994 ford ranger 4X4 3leter. I got stuck in the snow last night and had to be pulled out. Everything was working great for about 10 min. Then my dash lights went out, abs light started flashing, and I noticed my brake lights where no longer working. Can someone please help me? I am going to start by checking the fuse box under the dash in the morning, but where do I go from there? What would cause this to happen?

Thank you very very much for any help!!!!

With that much stuff going haywire, you probably have a ground or power cable problem to the battery. Check your battery cables, starter cables, alt cable, and all ground straps.

Ok, thank you! I am currently thawing out the truck in the shop. Is there anyways trailer lights could do something like this? Or RV hookups. I have huge ice balls wrapped around both at the moment. The truck has rv plug in the front because the guy I bought it with use to just tow it around. Maybe that? Thanks for the help!

Definitely start by checking the added trailer wiring, front and rear. In fact, unless you need it, remove any added-on wiring and repair the stock wiring. A lot of trailer wiring adds are done mickey-mouse to begin with, and it sounds like you might have had the mess of wiring disturbed when the truck got stuck. Good luck.
