ok i've been searching on this here and on google and have found nothing that can help me with this, but i've heard with some trimming that i can put 6x9's in my doors. any body have this done and some pics of it with the panel removed? and just exactly how you cut the holes and what you used. any help would be appreciated. i wanna put some alpine type s's in the doors so i can get some nice pounding bass. my truck is a 95 reg cab bench seat if that means anything.

First question is do you have a bench or the 60/40 split seats?

Second off to go from a 6x8/5x7 to a 6x9 would not be that hard as long as you had a good sawzaw, and you were good at trimming metal.

My suggestion is to keep the stock size speakers in the doors and putting 2-8" subs behind the seat(what i am currently doing in my 93 standard cab).

I just put 4 5x7 JL speakers in my truck and that is definitely enough thumping and was a really really easy change out. Id stay stock size unless youve already got the 6x9's

on another note 6x8s are such an a** pain finding the ones you want

i just used a grinder, and grinded away until the 6x9s fit. i have a 94 reg. cab but this system is only really a cheap pioneer, until i get money saved up...man college sucks.

When I did it I cut out a temple ofthe needed hole for the 6x9. Then you can see were it will best fit. Trace your templet. And trim and grid.
