Im looking to build a new set of rock sliders and want to get some ideas, especially on how they might attach to the frame. So post em up!

You can kinda see mine in this pic, they were not long enough, but I didn't have very much material at the time. They just bolted to the frame. I added steps to them for my gf, made out of .120 wall tubing :D

something like that would be nice, since I lifted it she kinda just falls out the passenger side
how many attachment points would you recommend so that they dont bend upwards and what thickness of tubing?

This makes mounting them much easier..... sortof.





I have found that with the bracing, the sliders still deflect, not to the point where I can not open a door but enough to notice. This is because the frame is actually twisting. Boxing the frame would stiffen it up significantly..........

Honestly I cant remember, I think it might of been someone on Pirate4x4.com who built them. Ill see if I cant find them again. I had the pics save on my computer from a few months ago while I was looking for design ideas for my bumpers and rock sliders.

yes but only after I had already posted. I kinda hoped for more responses, I thought it would be cool to have a sticky for rockslider pics. also be cool to do cages.
