i saw this mod in the tech library and wonder will doing this hurt gas mileage much? and also this will keep the hubs from popping out of 4 wheel drive right? every so often my 99 stops working and sometimes i never have a problem at all.

They went to a full live axle set up in 2000 so it can't hurt mileage that much.

it will decrease your mileage an insignificant amount. it'll also slightly increase wear on your cv axles and front u-joints.

if you ask me, the improvement in reliability is worth it.

went ahead and did this mod today and it works perfect. we just got some snow, so i was able to test it out a bit. i guess i wont be wasteing 150 on avm hubs now
