i was wandering if anyone could give some info on the B&m shiftplus. i have a 2000 ranger 3.0 4x4 it has a 4r44e. shifts sloppy even after i had it rebuilt about 2 years ago the trans shop told me to get used to it. ive heard that this electronic modulr will firm up my shifts. has anyone ever put one on the 4r44e. on ebay there were a few listings one said it would work on this trans and the other said it would only work with the ranger up to 1997. if anyone can help out i would greatly appreciate it.

B&M DUDE. For the most part they dont make shoddy stuff. I think they are the only reputable company with parts for our trucks anyways. So give it a shot. It dang sure wont get worse. Also when you have tranny fluid changer do they change the fluid in the converter too?

the shiftplus is made by B&M. i was mainly wandering if anyone has put one a 98 thru 2000 4r44e and if it worked sucessfully. when u change your fluid in the tranny you never get out all of old fluid, still have old fluid in the cooler, lines and torque converter. i dont even think a flush will clean out the converter, but i coud be wrong.

A flush will get all the old fluid out, even the fluid in the torque converter.
