So I decided to buy some T bar keys off ebay a few months ago. I have tried messin with them 2 different times now and I can get them close but not enough to get the bolt carrier back in. I know there are alot of negative opinions about using these but I just want alittle tweak so I can clear my 32's alil better. if anyone has been able to get them in please provide some input. I thought about undoing the front shock and maybe getting the lower control arm to drop alittle more, but that was an after thought.

sorry if this sounds dumb, but did you try just cranking the t-bars up without the keys to see if they cleared your tires?

you need a special tool to compress the key enough to get the bolts back in

get a big ass c clamp and it normally works

where are you lifting up the truck from? if youre putting it on the A-arm you'll never get them out. and A big c clamp will work but you might break some. (i did on a chevy half ton, and try autozone they made have a torsion bar clamp) butlet the A-arms hang down and take the bolts out. thena punch and hammer and hit them out. not much else you can do

usa a jack to lift the whole front end of the truck and let the control arms drop all the way to full extension. This did the trick for me when I helped a friend put some t-bar keys in. If it is still to tight, undo the shocks to let the suspension sag even farther.
