help now!!!in the process

ok i am im the process of dropping my tranny. i have everything un bolted all the linkagees. all nuts and bolts a cables.
my problems are as follows....
i cant figure out how to get the trans fluid dip stick tube out. and i dont think its flexibkle enough to bend. and second...i have everything unbolted but it wont slide back. i have only gotten it about 2 or 3 centimeters so far. it wont really slide back with any ease.
i jus walkd in from the garage to ask.

The dipstick tube is just pressed in with an oring on the end of it. Do you have the nuts that hold the torque converter to the flex plate off?

yes i have taken out the nuts inside the plate in the front. the ones that hold the tc in. they are out. and how would i get the dipstick out?

Not trying to be a smart fanny? But if this is an A4LD, with a 2.9 v6? The only way that tube will come out, without a fight? Is if you remove the retaining bolt on the rear of the right cylinder head. I found that one by accident while replacing our cylinder heads a short while ago. Reach down, and it's a tight fit...but once you remove that bolt? You can then twisty flex the tube out of the transmission. Otherwise the whole thing will just bind up on itself.
