Does anyone have a cherrybomb muffler on there ranger(not the glasspacks) I was wondering how good they were and how loud they are. I would like a loud one :rockon:but I don't want the ricer kind of loud:badidea: I want the good kind of loud. I am wondering which way to go it is between flowmaster 40 series or one of the cherrybomb's I have a 96 stx 4.0 5spd any help would be nice.

No exhaust is going to make the low loud rumble that people want with a 4 or 6 cylinder. The all have a rice like sound. Sorta like the deep sound of a chainsaw.

I like the way Flowmaster's sound on 3.0's and 4.0's (The FM 40 Series is nice, but the Super 44 is more aggressive and I Like them a bit more). But they are just a tad restrictive. I DO NOT like the cherrybomb turbo muffler. They dont really sound good and are made with piss poor quality. The CB Pro, or CB extreme are pretty loud, and I havent heard one on a ranger, but are made better than the turbo. I have a glasspack and it actually doesnt sound half bad imo. Hope this helps a bit

quick question If I get the 40 series or cherrybomb will it mount in place of my stock muffler with exhaust clamps or will I have to go to an exhaust shop to get the pipe bent and welded.

i have 3" pipe from the cat back with a 2' cherrybomb glass pack and it sounds really good. it's on a bII of course. it is a bit loud on road trips and i have been told that it sounds like a ricer but when you lay into it, it gets deeper and doesn't sound like a fart can. my cousin has FM40 series on his 3.0 toyota and it sounds almost like a v8 i really like it.
