The news is great sometimes

Yeah, that's a pretty bad mistake to make, especially for being in Texas.:taunt:

some people take things so far it was a mastake the guy plople had know idea of what he had done
total :bsflag: that the guy got fired

it doesnt appear to me that he meant anything "racial" with his comment. I mean when you sweat, you do get wet.. this world has gone to hell with the racial card. I wont even go there.

The manger should have gotten his head out of his a$% and thought about the wording. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out this one.

+1

I would have fired him for stupidity instead of racism.

Those were my thoughts as well. I would have to say that Krugford has good a point though.

how did I miss that, that is the news station I watch everyday.

If it wasn't austin and somewhere else in texas, there would be a bunch of rednecks that would have bought a truck from them haha

Really I think it's kinda funny, something simple can tick a bunch of people off. Yes someone should have caught that but firing someone is a little extreme. Sweaty backs might have been a better choice of words. Nothing will ever top the episode of muscle car when they rebuild a Ford 9in, the one dude said "be sure to lube your shaft before you stick it in the rear". I laughed for the rest of the weekend with that one.

Gimme a break. That was a good add and some people had to turn it into something that it wasn't. I'm not saying there's not racial unequality(not sure if thats a word, but you get my meaning), but quit bringing up everything as racist. We, as a nation, have bigger problems to worry about, than a poorly worded add. I am an American, born and raised here. My ancestors came from somewhere else, but me 100% American, and most of the folks in this country are to, regaurdless of where their people originated from........I will step down off the soapbox now..........................

I live in Austin. We have a lot of crybabies, so no wonder they made a stink about that ad.

That being said, I've been to that dealership and got the impression everybody was a moron, so I don't feel all that bad that one got canned.

oh my that is too funny.....see if i had read that i would of been like...oh my back does get wet on hot days....i need a new car.......not.....oh damn yoouuuu...or how ever you say that is spanish...lol i is just to freekin awsome!

I'm pretty sure that the same thing would have happened here in San Antonio too. Some lady who's big on morals and loves to push them around would have seen it and gone ape sh!t. I agree with most everyone on here that it's BS how everything now is considered racial.

At least they didn't say something about black people, then the dealership would have been shut down because every reverend would have been there protesting but if it would been about white people like "Are you tired of that cracker", just another day with nothing said.

Ah, uh, ouch. :buttkick:

People today, of any kind, take an offense at to many things said today. Just maybe the guy who made that ad, didn't know what that could mean.

Just why can't people get along and know they can be treated equally and respectifly.
