Help Question On Manual Trans

Who here nows how to remove the shift lever from a manual trans on a 1999? Stupid haynes manual just says to remove a bolt, but you can't! there is no freakin head on the bolt! stupid FORD! How the hell are you supposed to remove that bolt to get the shifter off? Help please apreciate it

there should be a nut on the bolt. remove that nut, thread it on to the other side and crank it down. That bolt has a taper on it on the inside and tightening the nut draws it out.
