I've tried this on a 02 explorer, the wheel bolt pattern was the same but the 15" wheel hit the caliper and I couldn't turn it or even bolt it on fully for that matter.
Thanks for the help. You have saved me time trying to fit the rims. I was also concerned with the caliper, more than I was with the size of the tire. Guess I'll have to buy new tires for the explorer.....
