Fuel mileage for V8 Bronco II

What kind of fuel mileage can be expected with either a 302 or a 351W in a Bronco II? I have an opertunity to pick up a V8 for $250, the guy doesnt know if its a 302 or a 351W. And being a broke ass college student and my B2 is my daily driver fuel mileage is fairly important to me, especially when gas goes back to $4 a gallon.

12-20. Depends on the setup.

What kind of setup can I run to get 20mpg? It would be sweet to have the added power of a V8 and get the same fuel mileage that I get with the 2.9.

I guy I know claims consistent 20 mpg highway with his 85 BII with 5.13s, FI Crown vic 302, and AOD on 35s.

I average between 12-15 with mine. It's carb'd, with a non overdrive trans, and bias ply swampers.

I have a ranger single cab long bed, but.. im only getting 8 thats with a c4, edelbrock 600cfm 302, and 31's on stock 3.45's..
