Pretty much like the title says... when you are bleeding the brakes is the truck on or off?
When you bleed the brakes... should the truck be running?

keep in mind I have never bled ABS, but I can't think of a single time I should have had the engine running.

even ABS doesnt require the engine to be running to bleed the calipers.
you need to have the key on if you replace the ABS module on a newer 4 wheel ABS vehicle. but the engine is still off.

thats for newer 4 wheel ABS equipped vehicles and only after replacing the ABS unit itself. your truck isnt new and it only has RABS. the key can be on, off, or in the garbage....your brake system doesnt care.
