Is it possible to kill a steering box? I haven't had power steering for over a year now. Last October I swapped in a new motor and the fitting on the pump were different on the new one, so I couldn't use the pump that came on it. So I usd the old pump which I let drain on the floor. I hooked everything up, but didn't really bleed it until later when I notice on a test drive that I had no power steering. I never was really able to bleed it that well, and no matter what I did, I couldn't feel any difference. So I swapped on another pump, still no difference. It seems to me that the pump going bad would cause this, but not the box, or am I missing something?
