I'd like to do a push button start with ignition switch and I need some help as to where to start and the basics of it all.If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

Why do you want a push button start? I don't see an advantage of that over turning the key. In fact, I see a lot of disadvantages.

Not doing it to gain an advantage.Just something you don't see in a ranger all the time.

You can just take the ignition switch off the top of the steering column, find the right wires and wire them to a button.
